Billy Cashion went to meet our Lord at 8:22 P.M. on February 8, 2022. He was 88 years of age.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Kay Cashion; sister Betty Bayless of Alvarado; sons, Billy Ray Cashion, Jr and wife Lou Anna of Cleburne, Russell Cashion and wife Merry of Cleburne, Danny Sims and wife Heidi of Jasper; daughter, Janice Cashion Lee and husband Gary of Cleburne; grandchildren, John Cashion and wife Jenny, Marc Cashion and wife Meagan, Macie Slocum and husband Brian, Jason Grubbs, Jared Grubbs, Eric Lee, Cody Lee and wife Vicki, Nicholas Kluck, Gabrilla Kluck; great-grandchildren, Jack Cashion, Maddie Slocum, Jules Grubbs, Jaden Grubbs, Jasper Carlisle, Matthew Kluck and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was born on December 10, 1933 in Alvarado and grew up there. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 where he spent 4 years on active duty as an airplane mechanic, mostly at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He went to Wichita Falls to further his training and was honorably discharged in 1958. He then returned to Cleburne where he owned and operated Sinclair Service Station for several years and drove a truck for 17 years. Bill was an excellent mechanic and in 1973 he opened the door to Cashion Auto Supply, selling parts and working on trucks. A business that he ran until 2018 when he retired for health reasons. Bill was a member of the Buel Baptist Church and previously served on the board of Bethany Water Co-op in Alvarado. He was a man with a heart of gold and if anyone needed help he was there. Bill was a man who worked hard and loved his family and his friends. He will be missed by many.
Service for Bill Cashion will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Buel Baptist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 10-11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery with Military Honors
