Service for Billy O. Horton, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain Ken Horton will officiate, assisted by Reverend Eddie Freeman. Interment will be at 1:45 PM in the DFW National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Horton, Tom Winklemann, Alex Winklemann, Kevin Andrews, Austin Sampson and Cole Winkelmann. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.

Billy Horton passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born December 1, 1923 in Bono to Babe Oliver and Bertha White Horton.

Mr. Horton retired as a Sergeant First Class from the US Army and was a machinist for Lockheed Martin for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Henderson Street Baptist Church.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Colleen Brooks; son, Billy Glenn Horton and wife Norma; grandchildren, Karen Winklemann and husband Tom, Diane Andrews and husband Kevin and Daniel Horton and wife Dawn; step-granddaughter, Audra Carter; four great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Marchman, Sue Knuckles and Gene Horton and wife Joan; former spouse, Dorothy Huffman; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives Margie Horton and Doris Horton;daughter, Gaylene Wheeler; four brothers and two sisters.
