Graveside services for Billy Neal Powers, 53, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 in Laurel Land Cemetery in Ft. Worth. Mr. Matthew Wayne Stout will officiate.Billy Neal Powers lost the battle but won the war on June 28, 2007. Billy was the son of Roy E. Powers and Gloria Moore Powers, born in September 8th 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas.He weighed in the heaviest of twin boys at 2 1/2 lbs. The family moved to Brownsville, Texas in 1958, where he attended public schools, St. Joseph's Academy and graduated from Brownsville High School in 1972.Billy took Several career paths in his lifetime, but the most important was taking care of his wife of 26 years and raising two boys.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. Powers, age 41 and Gloria Moore Powers, age 37; twin bother, Robert Edward Powers, age 37. Billy was also preceded in death by Matthew Alfred August Stout, grandson, age 5.
Survivors include: wife Vicki, sons, Matthew W. Stout and wife Margaret, Nathan William Stout and wife Candice; granddaughters Brittany Ann Stout of Waco and Sayra Joy Stout of Centennial, CO. Billy is also survived by his sister Lannette and her husband Ronald Bailey of Pflugerville, Texas; nephew Talbert Bailey and wife Elizabeth of Austin, TX; niece Lana J. Bailey of South Padre Island, TX and 3 nieces and nephews
