Service for Bill C. Rodgers, 76 of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Westhill Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service at 12:30 P.M.
Bill C. Rodgers passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in Cleburne. He was born on February 25, 1943 in Decatur to Ira Roland and Ruth Ann (Moore) Rodgers. Bill married Susan Wise on January 18, 1963 in Glen Rose.
Bill was a hard worker but his priority was his family. He and Cookie were fixtures at the activities of their sons and grandchildren. They were regulars at sporting events, plays and schools all over North Texas. Bill was an avid hunter, loved fishing, old cars, and traveling to all the National Parks. He was a respected mentor and boss and friend to many. Bill was a plant manager for Martin Sprocket and a member of Central and Westhill Church of Christ. He was also the coach of Men’s Blue Softball team. He loved going to the gun range and out to eat with friends and family.
Bill is survived by his sons, R.W. “Butch” Rodgers and wife Donna, Guy K. Rodgers and wife Gina; grandchildren, Kari Rodgers, Bret Rodgers and wife Stephanie, Katie Rodgers, Shelby Rodgers Gayle and husband Easton, Roland Cooper Rodgers; brother Larry D. Rodgers and wife Michelle; nephew, Larry E. Rodgers and wife Paige; niece Lorie Rodgers Porter and husband Bryan; Linda Faye Hill and many extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife Susan on July 12, 2013, parents and sister in law Vickie Rodgers.
