Billy Thompson

Service for Billy Jack "B.J." Thompson, 67, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, October 1, 2012 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Louis Marino will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 PM.
My name is Billy Jack "B.J." Thompson. I was born September 13, 1945 in Cleburne to wonderful parents Joseph "Shorty" and Leona Gracie Thompson, who worked their butts off to raise their four kids. I married Patricia Quilantan on December 26, 1996 in Cleburne. We had some wonderful years together. I had three children and two step-children. Daughters Jackie Anderson and husband Michael and Gina Cantu both of Cleburne; sons Barry and wife Beth of Burleson, Joey and wife Brande' and Servando Cantu both of Cleburne; 13 grandchildren, B.J. Bear, Tad, Dillon and Patrick Jack, all Thompson and Fabian Razo and Justin Tamplin; granddaughters, Witni Miller, Taylen Thompson, Paige Shepard, Sonnie Robinson, Kathy Razo and Krystal Smith and 12 great-grandchildren.
I wrote my own obituary because I felt it would be easier on my family. I would like the pallbearers to be Donny Timms, Jimmy Terry, Ken Milligan, Ricky Totsch, Michael Anderson and Steve Stevens. Honorary pallbearers to be all my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
I had a great life and was blessed with good family and some great friends. I would like to thank all the people who helped me in my later years, like my son-in-law, Michael Anderson and to Jimmy and Phillip Terry and their families, who always treated me like family and thanks to all my Johns-Manville friends, where I spent over 40 years happy years. I also have two sisters who I loved very much, Wanda Faulkner of Rio Vista and Kathy Thompson of Cleburne also sister-in-law Hilda Thompson of Oklahoma.
I was preceded in death by my parents; brother-in-law Ronnie Faulkner, father and mother-in-law Raymond and Johnnie Kuykendall, who I thought very much of, they always treated me like a son, also my best friend and brother Larry Thompson. My grandson, Patrick Jack and I have lived alone together for the last several years. He is 9 years old and has never seen his real dad, but he always called me Dad, which always made me felt very proud. It didn't make any different to him if I was sick or felt good, dirty or clean or broke or had money; he always showed his love to me and was there to hold me if I need it. He was always with me and if he wasn't people would ask where he was. He was the love of my life. I love you very much, so don't be scared, Grandpa will always be looking out for you.
