Billy “Bill” Wayne Williams, 71, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Cleburne. Bill was born to Jesse Fain Williams and Virginia Ruth (Henslee) Williams Moore in Cleburne, Texas on May 28, 1948.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lawanda Jean Williams; daughters, Jan Strahan and husband Martin, Laura Barrett and husband Mardiess Allen, and Jessica Williams and husband Jeff Lorows; son, Danny Barrett and Rocky Steele and Bobby Birdsong, both considered as sons; grandchildren, Greyson Strahan, Michael Lorows, Caroline Leverett, Carter Strahan, Erin Strahan, Cason Barrett, Darrien Lorows, Havin Barrett, Elijah Lorows, McKenzie Merrill; great grandchild, Rhys Leverett; brother, Milton Williams and wife Saundra; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many dear friends.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Elaine Cannon; parents; second father, Henry “Buddy” G. Moore .
Not only was Bill a wonderful husband, pops, father and brother, he was also always willing to help anyone. Bill was commonly known as being “the tractor man”. Bill was also the former owner of North Main Fina in Cleburne, a tire shop in Rio Vista, employed at Zimmerer Kubota, and Hallman Rental in Alvarado. His colorful personality and love for his family will be missed forever.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
