Graveside service for Bob Craft will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Rosehill Cemetery.
Billy Bob Craft, Sr. was born May 14, 1925 in Fluvana, Texas to John Emmitt Craft and Betty Mae (Sutherland) Craft. Bob was born into a ranching family and that became his passion for his entire life. He operated a dairy for many years, but always had his ranch animals. Bob settled permanently in Cleburne, along with his wife Nell in about 1948. He served in Japan during World War II. Bob served on the local, state and corporate boards of American Milk Producers Inc. for many years. He was also the chairman of the Johnson County Democratic Party for many years, retiring in 1992.
Bob passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Cleburne. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Margie Nell (Johnson) Craft; his parents and his brother John Emmitt Craft, Jr.
Bob is survived by his son, Billy Bob Craft, Jr. and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Ryan Emmitt Craft and wife Nikki, Christen Elizabeth Craft; nephews, John Emmitt Craft and wife Elaine, David Craft and wife Shirley and Michael Craft and wife Nancy.
