Service for Bobbie Jean Chandler, 80, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cleburne. Bishop Charles E. Chandler, Jr. will officiate, assisted by, Elder Willie Mitchell. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Bobbie Jean Chandler passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Cleburne. She was born April 20, 1937 in Fairfield to Edward and Virgie Norris Peters. She married Charles Chandler.
Mrs. Chandler was an aide for MHMR for over 13 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Temple Outreach Ministries.
Survivors include her seven children, Barbara Keaton of Ft. Worth, Bishop Charles E. Chandler, Jr. and wife Deborah of Cleburne, Linda Chandler of Cleburne, Michael Chandler of Cleburne, and Teresa Calhoun, Karen Chandler and Pamela Chandler and fiance, Jeffery Coleman, all of Ft. Worth; 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; five siblings, Norris Turner, Thelma Peters, Sharley Williams, James Peters, and Lyord Peters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. Chandler, Sr. on May 28, 1988; grandson, Johnny Chandler; great granddaughter, Jayline Chandler; and siblings, Betty, Joe, and Virginia.
