Bobby Allen

Graveside service for Bobby Joe Allen, 85, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 19, 2023, in Rio Vista Cemetery. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate.

Bobby passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Alvarado. He was born June 4, 1937 in Morgan, Texas to Alvin and Anna Bell (Pace) Allen. Bobby was of the Baptist faith. He married Wanda Loree Williams on August 29, 1958 in Morgan, Texas. Bobby was the owner and operator of Thunderbolt Boats & Klassic Conversions in Cleburne. He was a hard-working man. Bobby enjoyed searching for arrowheads, hunting, fishing, cooking, canning and tending his garden. His strong will and independent streak will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Allen; children, Helen Coleman, Tracey Wassil, Tommy Allen, Bobby Allen, Jr., and Cindy Miller; sister, Opal Allen Proctor; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Ann Bell Allen; brothers, Charles B. Allen, Irvin Alvin Allen, Roy Gene Allen, and Ricky Ray Allen; sister, Nancy Birthene Allen Brandon; and grandson, Terry Sam Coleman, Jr.
