Service for Bobby D. Fowler, 81, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk will be officiating. Burial to follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronald Gray, Kent Gray, Garrett Taylor, Spencer Seay, Ron Taylor, Gary Don Tidwell, and Barry Payne.
Bobby passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born June 2, 1941, in Blum to Jasper Burl and Mary Ellen Benton Fowler. Bobby married Minnie Bell Gillaspie on October 18, 1963, in Covington. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Bobby served in the United States Army and was the owner and operator of Fowler Grocery in Rio Vista and employed with Bob Harris Oil Company for many years.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years, Minnie Fowler of Cleburne; daughter, Angela Eileen Taylor and spouse, Ron of Cleburne; grandchildren, Lauren Seay and spouse, Spencer of Godley, and Garrett Taylor of Cleburne; great-grandchildren, Cooper Taylor of Wichita Falls, and Jackson Seay of Godley; nephews, Ronald Gray and spouse, Ina Jo of Eustace, and Kent Gray; nieces, Linda Tidwell and spouse, Gary Don of Cleburne, and Cindy Goodman of Morgan.
He was preceded by his parents; and siblings, Adrian Fowler, Burl Fowler, Gary Fowler, Maurine Gray, and Laverne McClenny.
