Service for Bobby Gene “Bobcat” Ellison, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Willie Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie McCullough, Ryan McCullough, Ray McCullough, Damon Ellison, Charles Williams, and Makiya Hogan. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Washington, Gerald Washington, Tommy Smith, and Tony Johnson. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, Sept. 29, at the funeral home.
Bobby Gene “Bobcat” Ellison passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Feb. 22, 1941 in Ralls, TX to Charles William and Alberta McBride Ellison.
Mr. Ellison was a machine operator at Walls Industries, retiring with 30 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include seven children, Raymond McCullough and wife Mendy of Burleson, Barbara Ann Guthrie and husband Neddie of Cleburne, Maurice Ellison of Huntsville, Eugene Ellison and wife Nita of Cleburne, Brenell Ellison of Cleburne, Alton Ray Ellison of Cleburne and Lizzie Dye of Louisville, KY; ten grandchildren, Charles Jr., Damon, Rosalind, Makiya, Danielle, Constance, Kerri Osha, Siterra, Mariah and Jalissa; numerous great grandchildren; ex-wife, Ozie Bell Ellison of Cleburne; brothers, Johnnie Smith of Cleburne, Charles Searcy Jr. of Portland, OR, and Cuney Echols and wife Minnie of Ft. Worth; sisters, Glenda Payne, Patty Jo Jenson and husband Michael, Karen Searcy and Darlene Bailey, all of Portland, OR, and Melody Canty of Auburn, WA; two step-sisters, Naomi Echols of Mexia and Thelma Echols of Dallas; and special friends, Irene and Tony Johnson of Ft. Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles William Ellison; sisters, Marie Jones and Ella Lee Scott; brother, Johnny L. Smith and step-brother, Alexander Hamilton Echols, Jr.
