Memorial service for Bobby “Pops” Green, 82, of Godley, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Bobby passed away August 28, 2021 in Godley. He was born June 14, 1939 in Fort Worth to Bob Ralph and Mary Lilly Taylor Green. Bobby married Anita Maureen Bruce on April 19, 1958 in Madill, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver for ABF Freight for 33 years and a bull fighter and rodeo clown for 17 years. He was a member of Godley United Methodist Church. Bobby was outgoing and always made friends wherever he went though out his life. He was the ultimate jokester. He kept a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. Bobby was a member of the Rodeo Cowboy Alumni and Godley Lions Club where he was past president. He volunteered as a fireman with Godley Fire Department for 35 years. He left an everlasting mark on those around him and will be missed greatly.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anita Maureen Green; children, Douglas Ray Green and wife Misty, Gary David Green, Dawn Green Gidley and partner, Dallas Wood; grandchildren, Kamrun Green, Karly Green, Kyler Green, Dylan Gidley and Travis Gidley.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Godley United Methodist Church.
