Service for Bobby Jawayne Lackey Sr., 60, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 16, 2021, at First Assembly of God Church in Joshua. Pastor Jeffrey Stanley and Darryl Lackey will officiate. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the funeral home.
Mr. Lackey passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, in Fort Worth. He was born March 4, 1961, in Cleburne to James Colvin and Zelma Doris (Carr) Lackey. He married Jeanette Faye Moore on October 23, 1981, in Godley. Bobby was a member of DFW New Beginnings Church. He served in the car sales industry for over 30 years in various roles, from salesman, to management. In addition to being in car sales, he owned his own business, and loved to invest in real estate. He enjoyed what he did and was very successful with each endeavor he pursued. Some of his hobbies included traveling, watching and playing sports, riding motorcycles with friends and family, fishing, and being outdoors. Bobby was a competitor at heart and loved a challenge. Bobby was a man of integrity and was deeply admired and loved by so many. Bobby loved his family and loved his friends like family.
Mr. Lackey would want everyone honoring his life to know he is in a better place, walking streets of gold with Jesus and all the past loved ones gone before him. If you have a relationship with the Lord and walk with Jesus, he will see you again in Heaven.
Mr. Lackey is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jeanette Lackey of Cleburne; son, Bobby Lackey Jr., of Cleburne; brother, Kenneth Lackey, and wife Connie of Cleburne; sister, Pat Grundy, and husband Joe of Tuscola, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He his preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Lackey and Earl Lackey; and sister, Oneita Lackey.
