Bobby Sims

Service for Bobby Ray Sims, 78, of Kopperl will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 22, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Bobby Ray Sims passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 20, 1936 in Blum to Jewel Ezell and Pearl Allen Sims. He married Shirley Rogers on July 26, 1957 in Cleburne.

Bob was retired from Joshua ISD and was a former car dealer. He enjoyed fishing, dominoes, and all sports, especially baseball. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sims; children, Sherry Robinson and Amanda Hall; grandchildren, Brandi Carpenter and husband Justin, Cody Robinson, and Chelsea Hall; great grandchild, Haely Robinson; siblings, Sue Walton and husband Andy, Mickey Sims and wife Shirley, Sammy Sims and wife Helen, Jimmy Sims and wife Janis, Jacky Sims and wife Mary Jean; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Carper, Peggy Claybrook, and Nell Stanley.
