Service for Booker T. Pollard, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 in the First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The Reverend Willie Stevenson and The Reverend E.D. Ingram will officiate. Pallbearers will be Markus Holbert, Zachary Pollard, Andrew Bates, Nicklas Pollard, Eric Anderson, and Amaude Frank. Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:15 P.M., Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Booker T. Pollard passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born Nov. 26, 1920 in Maypearl to Robert and Lucinda Alexandria Pollard. He married Beatrice M. Brown on March 9, 1946 in Cleburne.
Mr. Pollard served in the United States Army during WWII and worked in cement construction for over 30 years. He was a member of Pride of Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 89 and First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Beatrice Pollard of Cleburne; four children, Katharine Carter and husband James of El Paso, Barbara Rochelle and husband Nelson of Cleburne, Wanda Richards of Cleburne, and Norman Douglas Pollard of San Antonio; 30 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Laura Lowe of Cleburne and Costella Pollard of Grand Prairie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; seven children; and 12 brothers and sisters.
