Brandon passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born October 5, 1981 in Ft. Worth to Rodney Arvel and Donna Jean Harris Ballew. He married Bliss Robertson on May 21, 2005 in Cleburne at FBC Cleburne.
Brandon received his bachelors in civil engineering from UTA in Arlington, May of 2007 and a masters in education administration in May of 2015. He was a math teacher for Joshua High School where he was going to start teaching an engineering class in the fall. He had been a teacher for the last 6 years. Before he chose to commit to his calling of teaching he was an engineer for the City of Arlington. He is survived by his wife Bliss Ballew; son Bryce Evan Ballew, daughter, Bailey Bliss Ballew; son, Blake Ethan Ballew, all of Burleson; mother, Donna Ballew of Grandview, father, Rodney Ballew and wife Terry of Godley; sisters, Amy Snoddy and husband Howdee and Julie Ballew of Grandview, and step sister, Heather Ballew of Godley; nephews and nieces, Kaleb, Everett and Abigail Snoddy, Savanna McAlpin and Skarlet Ballew, all of Grandview, and Shane and Emily Robertson of Burleson.
Brandon was a man of strong character and of faith; he loved his God and his family above all. He never took for granted the gifts God gave him. There wasn’t a child, student or adult who were not touched by his life. He used his gifts affectively with those who knew him. There is not a member of his family who does not feel honored to have known him. He toiled daily, never stopping to rest. His mind never quit thinking, creating and making a to do list for the next project he would be working to accomplish. He taught so many to never, never give up. Brandon loved sports and coaching. He enjoyed passing his enthusiasm for his love of sports to his own children as well as others. He taught his children with a loving heart and a firm hand. He was selflessly dedicated to all three of his children and passionate about their futures. In the words of his son, “He was the best dad EVER.”
