Bruce Jones

Bruce Jones, 69, of Cleburne passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born June 1, 1954 in Cleburne.
Bruce was a coppersmith for the Santa Fe railroad for 10 years and a former deputy for Johnson County Sheriff’s Department with 10 years of service. He was a barbecue connoisseur and self proclaimed “Pit Master”. Bruce loved to play Santa Claus for the community of Cleburne. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Gilder and husband, Stephen; son, John Jones and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jazmina Kelly, Brandon Gilder, Paige Jones, Caine Jones, Ireland Jones; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, John Jones and wife, Billie, Ralph Jones and wife, Brenda; sister, Lisa Marbut and husband, Barry; mother, Betty (Logan)Jones; step-mother to his children, Stella Green.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Harlan Edward “Buck” Jones.
