Services for Bryan M. Dixon, 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Mike Mizell will officiate. Burial will be at Brazos Point Cemetery in Bosque County. Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Mr. Dixon passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Ft. Worth. He was born on Nov. 11, 1930 in Altus, Oklahoma, to John and Vada Scales Dixon. He married Lena Mae Phillips on March 11, 1961, in Cleburne, Texas. Mr. Dixon served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and retired from the Federal Government in 1989.

Bryan "Skippy" Dixon enjoyed collecting, playing Gospel and Bluegrass music and writing various memoirs of his life events.

He is survived by his wife Lena Mae Dixon of Cleburne; daughter, Diane Stephens and husband Michael of Dallas; son, John Dixon of Austin; brother, Danny Dixon and wife Alice of Mountain View, Ark.; brother-in-law, James Elmore of Joshua; granddaughters, Michaela and Courtney Stephens of Dallas; great grandchildren, Kailey Stephens and Hayden Ruiz of Dallas and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister, Ray Nelson Dixon and Glee Elmore.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
