Service for Burleigh V. Casler, 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Mar. 10, 2012 in the Henderson Street Baptist Church. The Reverend Eddie Freeman, Reverend Dan Burt, and Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Casler passed away Tuesday, Mar. 6, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born near Dimmitt, TX on July 25, 1929 to Jerome Thomas and Nellie Stephenson Casler. He married Ruby Bernice Jordan on Aug. 30, 1957 in Weatherford. He was in the U.S. Army 2nd Division in Korea in 1951 and 1952. He retired from Vought Aircraft Com. in 1993. He was an active member of Henderson Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was also co-chaplain of Chapter 215 of the Korean War Veterans Association that meets once a month in Arlington.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 45 years, Ruby; his parents; brothers, J.T. Jr., Spencer, Lynn, Boyce and sister Faye Thomas.
Survivors include his very special friend, Rose Hestilow; son, Mitchell and wife Tammy of Joshua; daughter, Cheryl Essex of Burleson; granddaughters, Sydney Casler Brown, Natalie Casler, Kayla and Megan Essex; grandson, Austin Essex; brothers, Travis and wife Diane of Lubbock, Velton and wife Murle of Utah; sister, Myrna Choate and husband Bud of Burleson and many nieces and nephews.
