Service for Carl Dean Bunch, 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate. Although there is no set visitation, friends and family are welcome to sign the register book at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at 10:15 A.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Carl passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born March 28, 1934, in Dimmitt, Texas to (W.L.) Wylie Lee and Florence Ellen (Walk) Bunch. Carl worked for Johns Manville for 14 years as a master electrician. He served his country in the United States Navy. Carl was always building or fixing something, he was never idle. He was a gun enthusiast, enjoyed working on cars, airplanes, and motorcycles and held a private pilot license. Carl was a kind-hearted gentleman who was generous and loved family and children. He had an independent streak and was strong willed. Carl enjoyed porch time with his favorite beverage. His sense of adventure and many stories will be remembered fondly by those he leaves behind.
Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Florence and father, Wiley; his beloved wife, Vivian; several brothers, and 2 children, Thomas and Stephen Loveal.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Bunch and his sister, Maxine Tindall; children, Debbie Lander, Ted Bunch, Priscilla Tubbs, Maryann Rickets, and Suzanne Dick; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews, and the nieces and their husbands who helped care for him, Marcia and Randy Byrne and Sharon and Thomas Kocsis.
