Carmella Edwards

Service for Carmella "Carmie" Edwards, 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church of Joshua. Pastor Dale Wilbanks will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenacres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-8:00 P.M., at the church.

Carmella Edwards passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born August 4, 1926 in Paterson, New Jersey to Joseph Blondi and Virginia Pacca Blondi. She married James Wilbur Edwards in 1946 in Newburgh, New York and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Although she had no children, her nieces consider themselves her daughters.

Survivors include her nieces Kathy Edwards and Linda Sedden, both of Austin; Linda Gayle Edwards of Joshua, and Darlene Edwards Dean and husband Larry of Orlando, Fla.; great nephew, Marc Clapp of Austin; and great nieces, Anthea Edwards and Tiffany Dean.
Carmie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rose, Angie, and Mickey; and brother, James.

She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit and her enduring faith.
