Carol Anele Groover, the daughter of the late Sgt. Louis N. and Dorothy Grant was born August 9, 1958, in Cleburne, Texas. She departed this life on May 31, 2005 in South Carolina.

Funeral services for Mrs. Groover, a homemaker, will be held at 12 Noon, on Monday, June 6, 2005 at Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, Texas with Rev. Tommy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Cleburne.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Sunday at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Carol accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and remained faithful until her departure. She was a member of Emmanuel Temple for many years, but later joined Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, Texas where she remained faithful until her death. Carol attended Cleburne Public Schools. She obtained a degree in barber styling in Fort Worth. She also obtained two degrees from JSMI Bible Institute. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobbie Lee Conerway, Jr., her mother Dorothy Grant, father, Louis N. Grant, Sr, brother, Benny Ray and three sisters, Vonzetta, Sharon Kay and Maria Donette Grant. She was united in Holy Wedlock on June 24, 1995 to James (Tony) Groover.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories a loving husband, James (Tony); five children, Kenya Conerway, of Cleburne, Roneshia Groover, of South Carolina, James Jr., of Bonham, Texas, Keith (Doggie) and Jamel Groover, of Cleburne; one granddaughter, Briana Graham, of South Carolina; three sisters, Wanda (Donaldson) Wooten, of North Carolina, Joy (Berral), of Long Beach, California and Janet Grant, of Cleburne; two brothers, Louis N. Grant, Jr. (Annie), of Texas and Louis Russell Grant, of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law, Helen Clinkscales, of Detroit, Michigan, Roslayn (Earl) Ellis and Sabrina (Kevin) Praylow, of South Carolina; three brothers-in-law, Moses (Anita) Groover, of Cleburne, Texas, John (Lynn) Grover, of Michigan and Ernest Groover, of Augusta, Georgia; two uncles, Benny James Staton, of Omaha, Nebraska and J.D. Heath, of Mineral Wells, Texas; Spritual Mother, Esther Johnson, of Keene, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
