Service for Carolyn Mae (Cooke) Kuklies, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Ascension Lutheran Church. Pastor Eddie Scheler will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 6-8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Roden, Tom Roden, Ryan Cooke, Chris Marrs, Greg Kirk and Robert Hadaway. Honorary pallbearer is Milton Cooke.
Carolyn passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Dallas. She was born April 24, 1938, in Cleburne to Carroll and Ina Mae (Morrow) Cooke. Carolyn married Milton Cecil Kuklies on June 10, 1961, in Cleburne. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Carolyn loved her church and was active in the Women of Ascension. Nothing was more precious to her than her faith and family. Carolyn was an elementary teacher with 10 plus years of service. She also owned and operated Rio Vista Food Center for 24 years. She will always be remembered for her kind spirit and generous heart. Carolyn loved cooking and entertaining for her family especially around the holidays.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband who passed on March 2, 1993; brother, John Thomas Cooke; and infant son, Daniel Kuklies.
She is survived by her children, Melissa Tillman and husband, Jeff, of Rio Vista and Steve Kuklies of Cleburne; grandchildren, Christopher Shane Tillman, Daniel Quintin Kuklies, Aaron Kendall Kuklies, and Holly Carissa (Tillman) Hadaway; great-grandson, Landon Shane Hadaway; sister, Ina Lee Roden Jean; brother, James (Jimmy) Carroll Cooke; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
