Carolyn Sue Manning, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in Crowley. She was born to Albert Raymond and Mecca L. Bransom Craig on January 4, 1938 in Cleburne. She married Janus Alton Manning on September 17, 1954 in Joshua. Sue was a member of the Burleson Church of Christ. She worked as a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1998 after 28 years service. Sue was an avid reader. She enjoyed shopping, eating out and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jan Manning in 1995.
Funeral services: 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 8, 2010 at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Chapel. Burial: Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday, January 7. Memorials: Cook Children's Hospital, www.cookchildrens.org .
Survivors: Sons, David Manning, Ricky Manning and wife, Pat, Terry Manning, Billy Manning and wife, Irma, Joseph W.Manning; daughter, Susan Behnke and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Angela Frederiksen and husband, Mark, Lacey Attebery and husband, Todd, Jami Crispen and husband, Tex, Ashley, Trent, Paula, Ally, and Joseph A. Manning, Rebekah Behnke, Benjamin Behnke and wife, Shauney, April and Brooke Parkinson; five great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Craig and wife, Betty; sister, Tina Craig Taylor; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
