Carolyn McCoy

Service for Carolyn Frances McCoy, 67, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne, the Reverend Brooks Monk and the Reverend Donnie Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C.C. Kit Cooke, David Lloyd, Milton Williams, Jim Taylor, Randy Taylor and Kyler Cook. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Carolyn Frances McCoy passed away, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born Aug. 3, 1946 in Johnson County to Lonnie and Mamie Russell McCoy.

Ms. McCoy was a Deputy District Clerk for Johnson County with 25 years of service; prior to that she worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 16 years. Carolyn was a member of the Red Hat Society of Cleburne and served on the Board of Directors for the Candle Walk of Cleburne. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Lauri Cook and husband Karl of Cleburne; son, Larry Vereen and wife Brittany of Cleburne; grandchildren, Dustin Miller, Carolyn Carlock and husband Brandon, and McKinzee Vereen, all of Cleburne, Karissa Pecorella and husband Salvatore of North Carolina and Kyler Cook, of Cleburne; four great grandchildren, Kayli Carlock, Noha Carlock, Nolan Carlock and Peyton Miller, all of Cleburne; sister, Barbara Taylor and husband J.L. of College Station; and two nephews, Jim Taylor and wife Paula of Katy and Randy Taylor and wife Susan of Conroe. She was preceded in death by her parents.
