Services for Catherine Ethel Kocian,75, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfred Worn, Tony Applegate, Joseph Jones, Keaton Kocian, Matt Bennett and Joe Applegate. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Catherine Ethel Kocian died peacefully on March 23, 2010. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Catherine was born on November 30, 1934 in Luling, TX to Mr Keaton and Katie Daniels. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry J. Kocian Sr, her parents and her sisters Gracie Lee Scott and Joyce Marie Gentry.
Mr and Mrs Kocian moved to Cleburne Texas in 1971 and worked hard to build several successful businesses and a farm in Joshua Texas. Cathy's life is a perfect example of numerous untold stories about women of the west that dedicate their time on earth to nurture and build strong families. She took pride in her home, herself and in everything she did.
She loved her native state of Texas and cared to instill these same values in those that carry on in her footsteps.
Mrs. Kocian is survived by two sisters, Bobbie Beatrice Wood and Margaret Jackson; her children Danny Ray Chambers of Cleburne, Deborah Faye Jackson and Son-In Law Sammy Jackson of Haltom City and Jerry J.
Kocian Jr and Daughter-in-Law Celia Kocian of Arlington. Kathy is also survived by seven grandchildren, Allen Jones, Brenda Jones, Dawn Bennett, Cynthia Davis, Shelly Blevins, Keaton Kocian and Christopher Kocian. She has ten Great Grand children; Joseph Jones, Gabrielle Wood, Sterling Wood, Jocelyn Bennett, Madeleine Bennett, Aloric Davis, Joshua Blevins, Ryan Bennett, Ethan Bennett and Baby DeSpain due in July.
Please join us as we celebrate her life and honor the memory of a great lady that will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
