Cecil Hughes

Service for Cecil Hughes, 81, of Cleburne will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in the Bono Baptist Church. The Reverend Kevin Bentley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cecil Hughes, Danny Gibson, Eddie Gibson, Tim Smithey, Andy Hughes and Jake Hughes. Burial will follow in George's Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. No visitation is scheduled.

Mr. Hughes passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born April 16, 1931 in Borger to Cecil Henry and Minnie Patterson Hughes.

Mr. Hughes served in the United States Army and was a retired long haul truck driver. He was a member of Bono Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda Gibson of Whitney, Sheryl McClintock of Irving and Patty Evans of Petersburg, Ind.; sons, Cecil Henry Hughes of Cleburne, Johnny Hughes of Port Arthur and Robert Hughes of Midlothian; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; stepchildren, Barbara Cornelle, Phyllis Arbogast and Kevin Cornelle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Naomi Harris Hughes and a stepson, Howard Cornelle.
