Cecil Roye

Services for Cecil Douglas Roye, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in the Calvary Baptist Church, Cleburne, Texas. The Reverend Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery, Blum. Pallbearers will be Doug Vaughn, Mark Vaughn, Richard Vaughn, Craig Meadows, Jerred Hurt and Robbie Hurt. Hononary pallbearers will be Earl Meadows, Mitchell Spears and Chester McKinney.
Mr. Cecil Roye, a retired carman for Santa Fe Railroad, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born April 15, 1927 in Blum to Price Finley and Matty Jackson Roye. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Calvary Baptist Church.

Cecil is survived by his daughter, Johnna Meadows; four grandchildren, Doug Vaughn and wife, Amy, Holly Hurt, Mark Vaughn and wife, Dawn and Craig Meadows and wife, Dadra; great grandchildren, Jerred Hurt, Zach Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn, Lexi Meadows, Colton Hurt, Austin Vaughn, Makenzi Meadows, Lauren Vaughn, Haven Meadows, Mady Meadows and one on the way; siblings, Irene Davis, Marie Hadley, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Etheline; brothers, Curtis and Herbert Roye and daughter, Cecilia Roye Vaughn.
