Service for Charlene Ninetta Stanford Boen, 97, of Granbury, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 07, 2017 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Richard Boen will officiate. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Boen, Jon Swiney, Larry Cox, Jarod Swiney, Josh Peters and Kyle Swiney.
Charlene Ninetta Stanford Boen passed away Friday, November 03, 2017 in Decatur. She was born September 20, 1920 in Duke, Oklahoma to Richard and Alfarata (Combs) Stanford. She married Hubert Cleveland Boen on September 25, 1936 in Fort Worth; he preceded her in death on January 07, 2001. She was an electrician for General Dynamics with over 15 years of service and also a self-employed beautician for over 10 years. She also was a member of Assembly of God Church in Godley.
Charlene is survived by her three children Wendell Boen and wife Barbara of Callisburg, Charlotte Swiney and husband Wayne of Alvord and Richard Boen and wife Patricia of Lakeside, Arizona; four grandchildren Brent Boen, Brooke Cox, Jon Swiney and Todd Boen; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one sister June Huckabee of Austin; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two grandchildren Jeff Swiney and Mark Boen; one brother Edsal Stanford and one sister Dorothy Robinson.
