Charlene McCarty

Services for Charlene McCarty, 85, of Ovilla, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 in the St. Mark United Methodist Church, 1109 W. Henderson, Cleburne, TX. Rev. Sally Fleming and Rev. Denise Jacobs will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Arnold, Vernon Beene, Jack Browder, Clifford Recer, Glen Roof and Vernie Stringer.
Charlene McCarty passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Dallas, TX. She was born March 23, 1922 in Ft. Worth, TX to Andrew and Bonnie Marie Liedenberg Heitman. She married T.L. (Jack) McCarty on December 14, 1946 in Weatherford. Mrs. McCarty was a pediatric nurse at Johnson County Memorial Hospital and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Seekers Sunday school class. She was active in children's ministry.
Charlene McCarty is survived by her daughters, Ann Delaney and husband Ed of Anderson, S.C., Kathy Short of Ovilla, TX, Becky King and husband Jimmy of Cleburne and Mary Lou Underwood and husband Matt of Glenn Heights, TX; grandchildren, Casey, Ginny and Paul King of Cleburne and P.J. Pressler of South Carolina, Lisa Kareka of Florida, Kim Dill of New York and Marnette Lawson of South Carolina; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Buck McCarty and wife Ruby and Jim McCarty and wife Pat; sister-in-law, Gracie Heitman and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. "Jack" McCarty in 2002; brother, Jim Heitman in 2004 and son-in-law, Garry Short in 2002.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 p.m.
