Charles Hamilton

Services for Charles C. Hamilton, 80, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Lane Prairie Baptist Church, Joshua. The Rev. Jerry Clements and Gary McDaniel will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Kirkpatrick, Bill Bonham, Tony Martinez, David Couch, Thurman Sargent and Ronnie Bonham. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Bently, Larry Cole, Charles Richardson, Joe Osborne, Keith Fox and Paul Green.

Charles C. Hamilton passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008 in Ft. Worth. He was born May 29, 1928 in Cleburne to John and Edna Stephens Hamilton. He married Mary Ella Kenny on December 14, 1963 in Cleburne.

Mr. Hamilton was a carman for Santa Fe Railroad and a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge #315 and Scottish Rite-Shriners.

Charles Hamilton is survived by his son, Charles M. Hamilton and wife, Gloria of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Brenda Crawford of North Richland Hills and Sue Nutt and husband, Bill of Cleburne; six grandchildren, Angie Turner, Jennifer Hamilton, Scott Nutt, Leigh Duvall, Theresa Hamilton and Josh Pedigo and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Hamilton; his wife, Mary on December 1, 2006 and son-in-law, Jack Crawford.
