Graveside services for Charles Tommy Hughes, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008, in the Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Mike Holland will officiate.
Charles Tommy Hughes passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 in Alvarado. He was born July 15, 1932 in Iredell, TX to Charles Wallace and Elsie Moore Hughes. He married Christine Brooks on February 20, 1961 in Cleburne.
Mr. Hughes served in the US Army and was a structural steel worker. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local #263 and the Cleburne Bass Club. He was of the Baptist faith.
Charles Hughes is survived by his wife Christine Hughes of Cleburne; daughters, Pam Blancett and husband, Phil of Cleburne, Melinda Winsett of Stephenville and Deborah Ross of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lou Blalock and Alma Laura Hughes; brother, Harold "Bo"Hayden Hughes and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Hughes on December 12, 1985 and granddaughter, Nikki Higgins on March 10, 1995.
