Charles Otto “Buster” Tucker died peacefully in his sleep on February 7, 2018. He was 87 years old.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10 from 6pm to 8 pm at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Whitney Memorial Cemetery.
Buster joined the United States Navy at an early age. Following an honorable discharge, he began a 50 year career with General Dynamics and married the love of his life, Peggy Jo Boswell. Together they traveled to Europe, Asia as well as most of the United States and were just a few months short of celebrating a 50 year anniversary when Peggy died.
Buster was devoted to his family, and his love for farming and ranching. He spent many happy hours on a tractor and taking care of his cows and horses.
He is survived by three children; daughters, Kathryn Suzanne Tucker Cochran and husband Hillard, Connie Lynn Tucker Atwood and husband Danny and son, Charles Michael Tucker and wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Sara Atwood and husband Greg Troszak, Chad Cochran and wife Monica, Hillary Cochran Speer and husband John, Becky Tucker Jones and husband Cody, and Katy Tucker LaRue and husband Ryan; 13 great grandchildren, Brittany Williams, Haven Cochran, Azia Cochran, Khylar Cochran, Asher Cochran , Elijah Ponce, Raedyn Speer, Wyatt Speer, Chaselyn Cochran, Taegan Cochran, Tucker Jones, Addalynn Jones, HannahGrace Jones; 1 great-great grandchild Abigale Williams; 2 sisters, Lu Rene Livingston and Johnny Fuller; sister-in-law, Jean Jaggars; longtime friend, Pat Horton; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors, especially Margot Woods.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his grandson, Chase Cochran; parents, John and Pearl Tucker; brother, J. Orval Tucker; and sisters, Rosie McLaughlin, Jewel Alexander, Dorothy Greer, and Shirley Black.
