Services for Charles "Rip" Ripley, 75, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Al Munger and the Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Tanner, Harold Lewis, David Bruce, Gene Prine, Rob Beeman III and Kevin Ripley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Doyle, Norris Johnson, Danny Cavasos, John Cudd, Melvin Semff, Jimmy Wray, George Jones, Milton Williams, Charles Robert Allen and Ray Triplett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home.
Charles Ripley passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born July 31, 1934 in Hill County, to Richard V. and Dallie DeArmon Ripley. He married Cynthia Sue Corbin on April 22, 1961 in Cleburne. Charles was an auto body mechanic for Triplett Paint and Body for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue Ripley of Cleburne; son, Rick Ripley and wife Jodi of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Lindy, Lacey, Caleb and Corbin all of Cleburne; mother, Dallie Ripley of Blum; sisters, Sue Prather and husband Bill, Donna Beeman and husband Rob and Sarah Gant and husband Steve; brother, Jeff Ripley and wife Sherrie and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard V. "Dick" Ripley.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church or The American Heart Association.
