Charles Skiles

Service for Charles W. Skiles, 81, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Dewey Chapman will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Trey Meeks, Justin Skiles, Brandon Owen, Jonathan Collier, Stephen Skiles and T.J. Meeks. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, July 31, 2017, at the funeral Home.

Charles W. Skiles passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born June 14, 1936 in Cleburne to John Henry and Lilly Mae Westerman Skiles. He married Edna Marie Brown on April 28, 1962 in Ft. Worth and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2016, after 53 years of marriage.

Mr. Skiles worked as a transportation dispatcher, retiring with over 30 years of service.
Survivors include his children, Kerry Skiles and wife, Connie of Nemo, Carl Meeks and wife Belinda, Debbie Skiles of Ft. Worth, Tommy Meeks and wife Renee of Joshua, Daryl Skiles of Capitan, NM and Curtis Skiles of Cleburne; grandchildren Ashley Eng, Justin Skiles, Trey Meeks, Felicia Meeks, Charla Hawley, Jonathan Collier, Tiphanie Meeks, Heather Matthews, Kholt Meeks, Austin Skiles, Ryan Skiles, Stephanie Skiles and Mitchell Skiles; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Ray Skiles and wife Dana of Cleburne; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jewett.
