Charles Vincent

Service for Charles Lavern Vincent, 82, of Alvarado will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor David Baze and Pastor Carr Parrish will officiate. Burial will be in Buel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Andreatta, Keith Neill, John Ledbetter, John Hedgepeth, Koney Hensley and Marvin Hartgraves. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Vincent passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Alvarado. He was born November 10, 1928 in Ripley, Illinois to Melvin Henry and Mary Rozetta Scheer Vincent. He married Genna Vea Whitley on January 29, 1965 in Cleburne.

Mr. Vincent served his country proudly in the Air Force. He was a retired computer marker for Walls Industries and a rancher. He was a member of the Buel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Genna Vincent of Alvarado; daughter, Jenny Moreno and husband Jesse of Alvarado; one brother, Robert Vincent and wife Norma of Mt. Sterling, Ill; two grandchildren, Jeremy Moreno of Alvarado and fiancée, Lauren Good of Mansfield and Jeneva Moreno of Alvarado; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
