Charlie was of the Christian faith and retired as an auto-mechanic in 1995. He was bigger than life, the ultimate “troublemaker” and favorite uncle. He was a talented singer and Elvis impersonator. Charlie enjoyed gambling, taking cruises, riding his motorcycle (Harley Ultra Classic), NASCAR racing and watching old western movies. He spent countless hours smoking and grilling.
