Graveside service for Charles Wayne “Charlie” Woodard, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 27, 2022, in Rosehill Cemetery. An open visitation will be from 9:00-5:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Curlee, Jacob Curlee, Davy Johnson, Douglas McRae, Alan Skiles, and Jeffrey Gibson.
Charles passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, in Keene, Texas. He was born February 7, 1946, in Cleburne to John and Florence W. (Carmichael) Woodard. He married “Debbie” Deborah Joyce Wright on September 12, 1969, in Cleburne. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles worked as a repair technician in the aviation field and retired 12 years ago. He was a strong-willed man that was set in his ways. Charles was family oriented and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons. Being outdoors with his cattle and goats made him especially happy. Tractors and hot rod cars brought him countless hours of enjoyment, as well. He was giving with his time, talents and resources to help anyone. He will be greatly missed.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bo, J.A., Jim, and Bill Woodard.
He is survived by his wife, “Debbie” Deborah Woodard; children and their spouses, David Woodard and Jeffery Gibson, Cynthia Curlee and Robert; grandchildren, Jonathan and Harlie Curlee, Jacob and Mikala Curlee; great-granddaughter, Riverlyn Curlee and one on the way, Addilyn; numerous nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
