Service of Joy for Charles Maurice “Charlie” Rebstock, Sr., 80, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church. Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, 709 Stonelake Drive, Cleburne. Dr. Robert H. Herzig and the Rev. Danny Rogers will officiate.

Charles Maurice “Charlie” Rebstock, Sr. passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in Cleburne. He was born June 8, 1934, in Baltimore, Md., to Maurice John and Mary Bell Rebstock. He married Sue Ellen Tabb on Dec. 28, 1975, in Fort Worth.

Charlie was a baker by trade and worked for Mrs. Smith Pie Company and had a non-compete clause with them, because he helped perfect the frozen meringue on their pies. He went into the bread and pastry business and opened Lucky Boy Bakery in Jacksonville, Ill. He was a vendor for McDonald’s before opening his own restaurant for over 25 years. He won the Ronald McDonald Award for the outstanding operator.

Charlie was a 32nd degree Mason and 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne.

Survivors: Charlie Rebstock is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue Rebstock of Cleburne; son, Kenneth Rebstock and wife, Rosemary, of Burleson; five grandchildren, Hillary McGonagill and husband, Shawn, Ben Rebstock and wife, Lisa, Tiffany Henderson and husband, Brett, Brittany Kovach and husband, Jeff, and Charles M. Rebstock III “Trey”; seven great-grandchildren, Kaley and Kason McGonagill, Abigail and Alayna Rebstock, Rylee Rose and Lexie Henderson and Blake Kovach; extended family, Deb and Megan Matthews of Cleburne, Rose and Buddy Byron of Ocean City, Md., and Marcie Rebstock of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles M. “Chuck” Rebstock Jr., 2003; and a brother, Ronald Lee Rebstock, 2002. Charlie will also be missed by many wonderful friends and his dog, Lucy.
