Charlotte passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Burleson, Texas. She was born July 9, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Arnold Taylor and Dora Elizabeth (Hill) Derrick. On June 11, 1960, in Gatesville, Texas, Charlotte married Claude K Moehlman, her high school sweetheart. She loved being a homemaker and raising their three children! She was an amazing cook, made the best homemade ice cream, and won the Best Chili Award multiple times. Charlotte had a servant's heart, an infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up any room. She loved God first, then her family, which also included other sons/grandsons and daughters/granddaughters that she adopted along the way. She loved to travel and host groups of friends in their home and on trips all over the USA and beyond. Charlotte could be a sassy redhead and was known for her beautiful soprano voice. She loved you no matter where you were on your journey in this broken world, regardless of the mistakes you made. Charlotte will be greatly missed by all who have been loved by her.
She is survived by her husband, Claude; sons, Tim Moehlman and Mike Moehlman and wife, Tammy; daughter, Kathy Roden and husband, Lee; grandchildren, Chris Herrman, Melissa Herrman, Laura Herrman, Josh Herrman, Jennifer Holster, Josh Moehlman, Andrew Moehlman, Kaitlyn Swinney, Madison Bayless, Zachary Roden, and Hannah Roden; 9 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Dora Derrick; brother, Charles Derrick; sister, Norma Phipps; grandsons, Christian Moehlman and Jonathan Moehlman.
