Graveside service for Charlotte Dixie (Etheridge) Taylor, 73, of Coolidge, Texas, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Charlotte Taylor passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Mexia, Texas. She was born December 24, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to Benton “Ben” Arthur and Helen Davis Capps Etheridge. She married Gary Don Taylor on April 1, 1964 in Hillsboro, Texas. She worked in customer service and cook for truck stops and convenience stores. She was of the Christian faith.
Charlotte was the cook for her family. She loved her boys, who could do no wrong in her eyes. She enjoyed fishing and shopping, especially at garage sales. She would light up the room when she entered it. She managed to find the good in everyone. BEST MOM EVER!
Survivors include her sons, Jeff Taylor and wife Melissa and Michael Taylor and wife Norma; grandchildren, Greg Taylor, Jr., Brandy Cook, Bridgette Nowlin, Alisha Taylor, Heather Taylor, Jeffory Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Justin Braswell, Stormi Braswell, Michael Taylor and Savanah Taylor; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; former husband, Gary Taylor; companion, Steve Powell; and Bill and Mary Dixon, cousins who were more like siblings.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Gregory Don Taylor; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
