Graveside services for C.J. Johnson, Jr., 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Buddy Fry will officiate. Pallbearers will be Barry Welch, Jacob Welch, Josh Jewett, David Ellis, Alfonso Bustillos, Jr. and George Bustillos. Junior pallbearers will be Katie Jewett, Ryan Ellis and Brett Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Bustillos, Stephen O'Dell, Steven Williams, Jr., Barry Dale Johnson and Roger Dale Johnson, Jr.

C.J. Johnson, Jr. passed away at his home, Monday, November 9, 2009, with his wife and family at his side. He was born September 20, 1932 in Cleburne to Gladys Lucille Preston and C.J. Johnson, Sr.
C.J. joined the Air Force at 15 years of age and was sent home. Later,he was in the United States Army and the National Guard.
He worked at Fort Worth Steel and Martin Sprocket and Gear for over 40 years. He married Shirley McClure on July 24, 1970 in Durant, OK.
He was preceeded in death by his mother, Gladys Lucille Preston Johnson Hardin and father, C.J. Johnson, Sr.; step-father, F.E. Hardin and brother, Richard C. Johnson.
He is survived by wife of 39 years, Shirley ; sons, Roger D. Johnson and wife, Carrol, Roy Johnson and wife, Robin, Steve Williams and wife, Casey; daughters, Darlene Bustillos, Della Jewett and husband, Steve and Paula Bustillos and husband Arturo; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Earl Johnson; sisters, Sue Riza and husband, Jack, Ruby Ricketts and Brenda Baker and husband, Roger; mother-in-law, Ethelyne McClure and a number of nieces and nephews.
