Clara Doggett

Funeral services for Clara Ellen Doggett, 78, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Jerry Clements and Mr. G. E. Blair will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Randall Roberts, George Doggett, Mike Keeton and Bob Keeton, Charles Doggett and Harold Benefield.

Mrs. Doggett passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 in Fort Worth. She was born in Grandview, Texas, April 28, 1928 to Robert James and Della Mae (Bennett) Foster.

Mrs. Doggett, a retired data control clerk for Harbison & Fischer for 19 1/2 years, was a former member of First United Church of Joshua. In her earlier years she worked hard on the farm, working in the garden, canning vegetables and also selling Avon. In later years she enjoyed politics, being a business lady, landlord and bookkeeper .

Clara Ellen Doggett is survived by one daughter, Joyce Meador and husband, Gary, of Burleson; son, William Daniel Doggett Jr. and wife Beverly, of Rio Vista; sisters, Ruth Beatrice Keeton, of Lahoma, Oklahoma and Lillie Mae Eckert, of Hitchcock, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Meador, Shane Doggett, Trey Doggett, Sheila Harrison, Randall Roberts and Lori Ann Doggett (Horinek); great-grandchildren, Nathan and Nicole Harrison, Mallory and Zachary Roberts and Madeline Doggett and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Daniel Doggett, Sr. her parents, one sister, Annie Belle Laughlin and two brothers, Robert Lee Foster and William James Foster.
