Clarence Key

Service for Clarence "Cotton" Key, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 12, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bllade Earley, Gunter Earley, Joey Quattlebaum, Justin Quattlebaum, Zeke Powell and Brett Johnson. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Key passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born October 12, 1925 in Alvarado to Emmitt and Billie Walker Key. He married Billie Louise Powell on December 23, 1947 in Alvarado.

Mr. Key was a co-owner of Mohawk Water Co. and was retired from American Cyanamid Co. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Billie Key of Cleburne; niece, Mardi Earley; great nephews, Bllade Earley and wife Taylor and Gunter Earley; great great nephew, Ace Earley; brother-in-law Gene Powell; sister-in-law, Tommie Quattlebaum and husband Jack, all of Cleburne; brother-in-law, Troy Powell and wife Mary of Walnut Springs; brother-in-law, Willie Bransom of Joshua; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
