Claudia D. Pollard, 62 of Valdosta, Ga., passed from this Earthly walk of life Thursday, May 20, 2010, at South Georgia Medical Center. Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 27, 2010, in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
God sent his Angels to earth to gather his precious soul Claudia Donna Pollard.
Claudia was born on October 27, 1947 in Cleburne, to the late Cary Hill Jr. and Sarah Marie Hill Ellis. She was the 1st of 6 children. Claudia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, and the sweet spirit of Jesus glowed within her. She joined the Slater Street Seventh Day Adventist Family where she served faithfully and lovingly. Claudia was wonderful and marvelous, with a heart as big as gold. No amount of words can describe the glory that filled her life and she so readily transpired it onto others. Her devotion to serving God showed in her love for others. Claudia touched many through her life in Christ.
She is lovingly survived by a devoted husband of 40 years, Wayne Pollard, god-daughter Pat Rose and husband Quentin, god-son Kelvin Brown (Pete), all of Valdosta, GA; sisters, Carla Pollard and Marti Bailey, both from Cleburne; brothers, Cary Hill III and wife Linda of N. Little Rock, AR, Roger Lester Hill, and wife Beverly and Johnnie Ellis Jr. and wife Jackie, all of Fort Worth; god-children, ZeQuishia, Ashley, Quentin Jr., Claudia, Chantey, Chassity, and Christopher Rose all of Valdosta, GA; three nieces, Marie, Lakisha, Kyndell; five nephews, Willie Jr., Bryson, and Christopher all of Cleburne, Roger Jr. of Springfield, CO and Tyreke of Ft.Worth; four special friends, Jack and Sharon Blanton, Elouise Brown, Mrs. Johnson and many more relatives and friends.
