Graveside services for Clifford Lee “Mutt” Cogdill, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
Clifford passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Cleburne. He was born to Henry Burton and Laura Elzie Carter Cogdill on October 23, 1928 in Merkel, Texas. Mutt was of the Baptist faith and worked for Hobbs Trailers in Ft. Worth for 33 years before retiring. Clifford married Ruby Nell Evers in 1982 in Cleburne. He was a musician’s musician – being talented in vocals and guitar both. Mutt was known for playing as often as he could and did so throughout his lifetime. Clifford was talented in making anything and woodworking as well. He created his own version of washer boards and remodeled too. Mutt’s easy going spirit and love of laughter will be missed greatly. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 grandchildren; and siblings, Doyle Ray Cogdill, Hazel Plaster, June Rodgers, Wilabea Cogdill and Leroy Cogdill.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Judy Walls, Donna Moore, Clifford Dean Cogdill, Sandra Marbut, Glenda Gonzalez (Gilbert), Mona Camus (Shauen), and Danny Cogdill (Leah); 25 grandchildren; numerous great and great great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
