Services for Clyde Boyd, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the First Church of the Nazarene, Fort Worth located at 2001 E. Main, Crowley, Texas 76036. Burial will follow in the Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation will be held at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 1, 2011. Mr. Boyd passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born to John Wesley and Mary Belle Earley Boyd on November 14, 1926 in Olympus, Texas. Clyde served in the United States Army just after World War II ended. He married Jimmie Ruth Hamilton on December 21, 1946 in Wellington, Texas. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Fort Worth. Granddaddy was one of a kind. He enjoyed teasing those he loved; the ultimate prankster. He was a sports fan, especially of baseball and basketball. Clyde spent a lifetime as a rancher and owned and operated Cleburne Livestock Auction. His character and laughter will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Elizabeth Spicer, Myrl Senter, and J.W. Boyd.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jimmie Ruth Boyd; daughter, Becky Boyd; son, Wesley Boyd and his wife, Joan; two grandchildren, Ashley and Will Boyd; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
