Graveside service for Clyde Simpson Mears, 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, in the Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Jackie Mears will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Clyde Simpson Mears passed away Friday November 03, 2017 in Fort Worth. He was born April 16, 1940 in Brazos Point to Lee Simpson and Florence (Powell) Mears. He was of the Baptist faith and the owner-operator of Mears & Sons Motors for over 50 years. He was a talented dancer who loved to Waltz and Two-step at the Cleburne Senior Center and American Legion. He dearly loved his family and he will be missed greatly by them.
Clyde is survived by his wife Doris; sons Ricky Paul Mears and Chad Simpson Mears all of Cleburne; daughter Gina Mears Taylor and husband Patrick of Austin; sister Bessie Lee Dixon of Grandview; brother Louis Lee Mears of Glen Rose and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Alice Frances Roten, Martha Lou Moon and Fannie Fay Nelson.
