Services for Clyde L. Thacker, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2009 in the St. Mark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Danny Niedecken will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2009 in the DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m at the funeral home.
Mr. Thacker passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born December 17, 1922 in San Benito to Clyde L. Sr., and Vandola A. (Thomas) Thacker. He married Norma Knight on November 18, 1961 in Dallas. Mr. Thacker served in the US Army during WW II. He was a mechanic for GMC and was of the Methodist faith. He was also a Master Mason.
Clyde L. Thacker is survived by his wife, Norma Thacker of Cleburne; three sons, Wayne Thacker of Ft. Worth, son, Keith Thacker and wife, Sandy of Eustace and their children, Brianna Sanford of Irving and Shane Thacker of Ft. Worth, son, Mark Thacker and wife, Sara and their children, Kira Thacker and Keegan Thacker all of Frisco; one sister, June Gerking of Seadrift and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or the St. Mark Bread Basket.
