Service for Clyde L. Turner, 92, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Jerry Nelson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kent Williams, Kery Williams, Charles Anderson, Gary Waits, Wayne Birchfield, and Tim Altaras. Honorary pallbearers will be Luis Leverett, John Cantrell, Walter Burdett, Brian Turner, Brad Turner, Matt Turner, Charlie Day, Mark Day and Joe Witkowski. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born October 4, 1918 in Hill County to Sam Lefate and Polly Ann Fuller Turner. He married Mary E. Durham on January 14, 1947 in Cleburne.

Mr. Turner served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was a retired carman with 32 years service for the Santa Fe Railroad and a member of the Westhill Church of Christ.

Mr. Turner is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Turner of Cleburne; two sons, Don Turner and wife Susan of Cleburne and Bill Turner and wife Susan of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Linda Witkowski and husband Stan of Godley and Jean Ann Day and husband Allen of Cleburne; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
